Teenage is that time of life when bravery is at the peak. Even on the road. Teenagers often do not care about their own lives. Limited experience in driving is the root cause of teen car accidents. Teens must be very careful and follow various safety tips while driving. Here are a few Tips for Safe Teen Driving. 1.Do not use your cell phone while driving unless you’re equipped with a hands-free device.Pull off the road if you must take or make calls. .
2.Don’t send or read text messages while driving. Doing so diverts your attention from the road.
3.Obey the speed limit, driving too fast gives you less time to react or stop. Leave early for your destination to avoid speeding or driving in a hurry. Excess speed is a major cause of teenage accidents.
4.Avoid empty gossiping when travelling with friends. While doing a conversation is not a threat but drawing attention from driving to chit chat is a bad thing. It is vital that the driver is alert always to avoid any impending risks.
5.Do not drive when angry or upset. Emotions can interfere with safe driving. Ensure that no matter how angry you are you must cool down before you hit the road.
6.Don’t comb your hair or put on make-up, even if you are stopped at traffic lights as it may grab your attention.
7.Don’t drink and drive, and don’t travel with anyone who has been drinking. As a teen you are not allowed to be driving with any drug or alcohol as it can impair driving and judgment.
8.Set up your music system before starting the car and keep the volume down. Singing with loud music and changing the song or station are two of the main reasons teenagers get into accidents. These activities can take your attention away from driving.
Vehicle crashes are the prime cause of deaths for teens. If you do not pay your full attention to driving a vehicle, bad things can happen very quickly. Keep your attention focused on driving and enjoy your ride.
