Tips to Consider Before Starting the Engine of Your Car

Driving your car gives you responsibility to drive safely, not only for the passengers in your car, but for pedestrians and other drivers on the road. And as a driver your responsibility starts when you are about to start the engine of your car.
To ensure a safe and happy journey, consider doing the following before starting the engine.
1.Ensure the area around your car is clear and free of obstacles.
2.Check fluid levels such as coolant, engine oil, window washer fluid, and brake fluid as often as possible, at least whenever you refuel.
3.Make sure that all lenses and windows especially the side mirrors are clean.
4.Visually check the tires before starting the engine. If any tire looks flat, do not drive the car. Even if all the tires seem okay, you should check their pressure.
5.Lock your car doors.
6.Adjust your seat to be more comfortable, yet can still reach all of the car’s controls.
7.Adjust the position of outside mirror until the side of the car just disappears.
8.Fasten the seat belt of the car and just ensure that you hear a clicking sound.
9.Check all the warning lights and gauges are working when you start the engine.
10.And, lastly ensure that the gear is in “Neutral” position when you are using a manual transmission and in “Park” position if you have an automatic transmission.
