Simplistic Way to Jump Start a Car with Manual Transmission on a Hill

Without jumper cables all you require to start your vehicle is a stretch of downhill road. This trick is really helpful as you are using the weight of the car to force an engine to turn over. This automatically results into a quick start up of a car without the use of any battery.

First is a qualified driver who can drive a manual transmission
And second is a stretch of downhill road, preferably paved

• First thing you’ll need to keep in mind is to see a stretch of paved road that is downhill and free from hindrances. You are required to get the car up to approximate 10-15 mph and atleast 100 feet of downhill road to smoothly jump start the car. It will be easier if you can go quicker and faster.

• Second thing you need to do is insert the car key to the on position, place the transmission in first gear and push in the clutch. Make sure to firmly hold the clutch to the floor until you’re ready to jump start the car.

• Now take off the car down the hill so that it gains a speed of at least 10 mph or more. Better if you can ask for help and get someone to push the car so that it gains speed.

Thereafter quickly change the clutch into first gear as soon as you discover that the car reaches at least 10 mph. Soon the engine will start over in seconds so be alert and push in the clutch as you’ll confront little jerks after the engine starts.
